His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to sent a message of condolence to His Majesty King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, the custodian of the two holy mosques, following the demise of his brother, Al-Marhum Raja Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud. In the message, His Majesty expresses his deep sorrow as felt by the people of Saudi Arabia.
The demise of late King Fahd is a great loss to those who knew him. His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam also extends his personal sympathy, the government and people of Brunei Darussalam to members of the Saudi Arabia’s royal family and condolences to the people of Saudi Arabia. In the message, His Majesty also noted that the late King Fahd was a leader who had contributed much to the welfare of the people in the Middle East and the Muslim ummah. His contribution to the Organisation of the Islamic Conference or OIC is highly praised. The late King Fahd’s leadership will also be missed in regional and international affairs. His Majesty prays to Allah the Almighty for the late King Fahd’s soul to be placed with the virtuous ones.
