His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddien Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Dipertuan of Brunei Darussalam who is now in Perth, the last leg of his State Visit to Australia, began his programme by holding a meeting with the Governor of Western Australia, His Excellency Lieutenant General John Sanderson. The meeting was held at the Government House in Perth, the capital of Western Australia. His Majesty was greeted on arrival by His Excellency Lieutenant General John Sanderson and his wife.
The Government House is an historical building that dated back in 1859. It is the official residence of the Governor of Western Australia. His Majesty was briefed by the Governor of the historical aspects of this building. During the official luncheon, His Majesty delivered a remark acknowledging with appreciation the warmth friendship and generosity accorded to the people of Brunei Darussalam as well as the goodwill that had developed between the peoples of Brunei Darussalam and Western Australia.
While in Perth, His Majesty visited Australia's Special Elite Force based in Western Australia. His Majesty's programme at the Special Air Services Regiment included the tour of facility, witnessing live fire demonstration and joining officers of the force for the afternoon tea. The Special Air Services Regiment is modeled on the British Elite Force, the Special Air Services, SAS.
