His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to grant an audience to the newly-appointed Acting Commissioner of Police, Pehin Datu Kerma Setia Awang Zainuddin bin Jalani.
Also present at the audience, held at the Istana Nurul Iman, was the outgoing Commissioner of Police, Dato Paduka Awg Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Johan, who completed his service January 31, 2005, corresponding to 20th Zulhijah 1425.
Meanwhile, Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha consented to receive in a farewell audience the spouse of the outgoing Commissioner of Police. Also present was the spouse of the newly-appointed Acting Commissioner of Police.
By command of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Prime Minister's Office yesterday announced the appointment of Pehin Datu Kerma Setia Awang Zainuddin bin Jalani, Deputy Commissioner of Police, as Acting Commissioner of Police to take over from Dato Paduka Awg Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Johan.
The appointment of Pehin Datu Kerma Setia Awg Zainuddin bin Jalani as Acting Commissioner of Police took effect from Tuesday, February 1, 2005, corresponding to 21st Zulhijah 1425.
