Taman Jubli Perak Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah near the capital is being spruced up for an event during His Majesty's 59th Birthday celebrations. The event, entitled 'His Majesty with the Citizens and Residents of Brunei Muara District', will be held at the recreational park which was constructed to commemorate His Majesty's Silver Jubilee Succession to the Throne.
Public facilities as well as the Sultanate's model houses are currently being constructed as the district's presentation from the local community. The recreational park has been opened since 1992, the district's landmark and tourist attraction.
Located on the banks of the Kedayan River, the park is the location of the Silver Jubilee Monument.
