Sultan attends prayer in London

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday morning joined Bruneian students and other Bruneians in the United Kingdom in performing Aidil Adha prayer at the students' hostel, Brunei Hall in London.

Also in attendance were His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Pg Muda Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, HRH Prince Abdul Azim, HRH Prince Abdul Malik, HRH Prince Abdul Mateen and other members of the royal family.

The prayer was led by Pehin Khatib Hj Awg Emran B. Hj Kunchang, while the sermon was read by the State Mufti, Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awg Abdul Aziz.

Earlier, His Majesty and other members of the royal family were greeted on arrival at the Brunei Hall by the High Commissioner of Brunei to UK, Pg. Hj Yunus, as well as officers and staff of the High Commission.

Before leaving the Brunei Hall, His Majesty and other members of the royal family received greetings from some 300 students and other Bruneians currently in the United Kingdom. Hari Raya Aidil Adha in UK this year was celebrated a day earlier than in Brunei. - Borneo Bulletin
