HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha consented to attend the Istiadat Pengurniaan Darjah Kerabat Mahkota Brunei (DKMB) for His Royal Highness Sultan Ibrahim ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Iskandar, the Sultan of Johor Darul Ta’zim.

Upon arrival at the Istana Bukit Serene, Their Majesties were welcomed by His Royal Highness the Sultan of Johor Darul Ta’zim and Her Royal Highness Sultanah Raja Zarith Sofiah binti Al-Marhum Sultan Idris Shah, the Sultanah of Johor Darul Ta’zim and other members of the Johor royal family.

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Doa Keberangkatan Tiba read by Dato’ Haji Nooh bin Gadot, the Islamic Advisor to His Royal Highness the Sultan of Johor Darul Ta’zim and the State of Johor Darul Ta’zim.

His Majesty then consented to bestow the Darjah Kerabat Mahkota Brunei (DKMB) on His Royal Highness the Sultan of Johor Darul Ta’zim.

At the end of the ceremony, a Doa Selamat was read by Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, State Mufti of Brunei Darussalam.

Accompanying Their Majesties were His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik, His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Wakeel, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah and other members of the royal family.

Also present during the ceremony were His Royal Highness Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim, the Tunku Mahkota Johor and Cik Puan Khaleeda binti Bustamam.

After the ceremony, Their Majesties attended the royal wedding ceremony of His Royal Highness Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim, the Tunku Mahkota of Johor and Cik Puan Khaleeda binti Bustamam, which took place at the Istana Besar Johor Bahru.

The ceremony began with the arrival of Their Majesties at the Istana Besar Johor Bahru together with His Royal Highness the Sultan of Johor Darul Ta’zim and Her Royal Highness the Sultanah of Johor Darul Ta’zim.

Accompanying Their Majesties were His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik, His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Wakeel, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah and other members of the royal family.

Their Majesties were invited to the Bilik Persemayaman before proceeding to the Dewan Singgahsana for the Merenjis and Menepung Tawar Ceremony.

Then the royal bride and groom took their place at the Pataratna in the Dewan Singgahsana of the Istana Besar Johor Bahru. Before the ceremony started, a Doa Selamat was read by Sahibus Samahah Dato’ Haji Mohd. Tahrir bin Dato’ Shamsudin, the Mufti of Johor Darul Ta’zim.

The Merenjis and Menepung Tawar Ceremony was led by Their Majesties, who were followed by His Royal Highness Sultan Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah ibni Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar, the Sultan of Pahang Darul Makmur, Her Royal Highness Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom binti Abdullah, the Sultanah of Pahang Darul Makmur, His Royal Highness the Sultan of Johor Darul Ta’zim, Her Royal Highness the Sultanah of Johor Darul Ta’zim, and other royal guests.

After the ceremony, Their Majesties left the Dewan Singgahsana to attend a banquet held at the Dewan Santapan Istana Besar Johor Bahru.

The banquet commenced with an opening Doa read by the Mufti of Johor Darul Ta’zim.

At the end of the banquet, the closing Doa was read by the Mufti of Johor Darul Ta’zim.

Their Majesties then consented to congratulate the royal bride and groom before leaving Istana Besar Johor Bahru.

His Royal Highness Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim, the Tunku Mahkota of Johor, and Cik Puan Khaleeda binti Bustamam were solemnised on October 24, 2014 at a solemnisation ceremony, which took place at the Istana Bukit Serene in Johor Bahru. - Borneo Bulletin (9 November 2014)
