THE Labour Department yesterday officially opened the doors to its new headquarters in Bandar Seri Begawan.

The event took place at the newly designated premises and the royal guest of honour was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik who officiated the opening ceremony, according to a press release.

His Royal Highness also stopped by to view the new Takaful Brunei Keluarga (TBK) counters also located at the ground floor of the premises.

The opening of the new counters is one of the initiatives to substantially improve TBK’s services in particular to offer customers the convenience of renewing the Islamic insurance (Takaful) of their helpers (foreign nationals), domestic servants, drivers or gardeners at the Labour Department.
