HIS Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik yesterday officiated the new Labour Department building to mark HRH’s work placement at the Ministry of Home Affairs. It started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the Deputy State Mufti, Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Setia Raja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awg Suhaili bin Hj Mohiddin.

HRH later signed a plaque to mark the official opening of the department and received a ‘pesambah’ from the Acting Labour Commissioner, Awg Hj Rani bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Awg Hj Mohd Yusof.

The Labour Department has been functioning at the new building since April 14, 2014. The handover of keys to the building was held March 5, 2014.

Also present yesterday were Minister of Home Affairs, Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awg Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Awg Othman; Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Hj Awg Halbi bin Hj Mohd Yussof, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries and senior officers at the Ministry of Home Affairs. - Borneo Bulletin (9 May 2014)
