His Majesty departs from Kuching

HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday departed Kuching, Sarawak, after attending the finals of the International Dragon Boats Race Sarawak Regatta 2014.

Prior to departure from the Kuching International Airport, a prayer was recited by Datuk Haji Jorgi bin Suhaili, the state Imam of Sarawak.

Bidding the monarch farewell were Tun Tan Sri Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib bin Haji Mahmud, Yang Di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak; Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Adenan bin Haji Satem, Chief Minister of Sarawak; Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah bin Ali Hassan, Minister of Resource Planning and Environment II, Minister of Public Utilities and Minister of Industrial Development as the Minister in Attendance; Haji Soerdiman bin Aini, General Manager of Sarawak Economic Development Corporation; and senior officials from the Sarawak government.

Also present were Haji Kamsani bin Haji Noordin, Consul General of Brunei Darussalam in Kuching, and officers from the Consulate General of Brunei Darussalam in Kuching, Sarawak. - Borneo Bulletin (8 September 2014)
