HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon consented to receive in two separate audiences Mohamed JA Hashim, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Brunei Darussalam, and Kenichi Suganuma, Ambassador of Japan to Brunei Darussalam, who will be completing their tour of duty to the country.

The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Brunei Darussalam presented his Letter of Credence to His Majesty on July 9, 2007. The Ambassador of Japan to Brunei Darussalam presented his Letter of Credence to His Majesty on November 29, 2012. Accompanying the Japanese Ambassador were Dr Toshio Kaneko, First Secretary and Mr Toshiyuki Suzuki, First Secretary at the Embassy of Japan.

Also present during the audience ceremonies were Awang Haji Mohd Rozan bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos, Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office. The audience ceremony was held at the Istana Nurul Iman. - Borneo Bulletin (7 May 2014)
