HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a message of congratulations to President Barack H Obama, President of United States of America, as well as to the Government and people of USA on the occasion of their independence day.
In the message, His Majesty stated that on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Brunei Darussalam and the United States of America, His Majesty took great pleasure in sending his warmest congratulations on the independence day of the USA to President Obama and to the American Government and its people.
His Majesty wished President Obama and the American people a joyous celebration and looked forward to continuing to work together to strengthen friendship and cooperation in many important areas of bilateral and international partnerships between the two countries.
In concluding the message, His Majesty conveyed his kindest regards to President Obama and his family, together with his very best wishes for his continued good health and happiness.
Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent his congratulatory message to John F Kerry, US Secretary of State, on the occasion of their independence day today.
His Royal Highness sent his warmest congratulations to Kerry and to the Government and people of the United States on their independence day. HRH said it has been a great pleasure working with him in the past year to strengthen the valuable cooperation between both countries in their important bilateral and regional work together.
HRH is also very pleased that people of both countries are working closely together in many vital areas and are continuing to form strong and personal links in the spirit of friendship and goodwill that both their people have long shared.
This year also marks 30 years since the establishment of both countries’ modern diplomatic relations and HRH looked forward to working with Kerry to continue strengthening these much valued ties.
HRH sent his kindest regards and best wishes to Kerry and his family and to the American people for a very happy 4th of July celebration.
