Congratulatory messages on 69th National Day of Socialist Republic of Vietnam

HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send messages of congratulations to Truong Tan Sang and Nguyen Tan Dung, the President and Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, as well as the Government and people of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the occasion of the 69th National Day of Vietnam.

In the message to Truong Tan Sang, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, His Majesty was very happy with the close friendship and long-standing ties between the two countries and people and looked forward to continue working together to strengthen this much-valued relationship for the mutual benefit of the people of Brunei Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

In the message to Nguyen Tan Dung, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, His Majesty stated that it was a great pleasure meeting the prime minister in Nay Pyi Taw for the Asean Summit last May.

His Majesty was also pleased with the warm relations and close cooperation long established between the two countries and peoples and was confident that these valued ties would continue to be strengthened especially in work together towards the Asean community.

In ending the messages to Truong Tan Sang and Nguyen Tan Dung, the President and Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, His Majesty extended his kindest regards and best wishes to them and the people of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for a joyous and happy celebration.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, also sent a congratulatory message on the 69th National Day of Vietnam to Pham Binh Minh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

His Royal Highness said, “I am very pleased to extend my warmest congratulations to you and to the government and people of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on your 69th National Day.

“I much enjoyed our discussions in Nay Pyi Taw recently, and greatly appreciate your views and contributions to our work bilaterally and at the regional and international level.

“We much value the excellent relations and close ties between our two countries, and I look forwards to our first joint commission meeting and the chance to strengthen our countries’ friendship and cooperation.
