THE three-day open house for members of the public at Istana Nurul Iman, which concluded yesterday afternoon, saw a total of 96,555 well-wishers visiting the palace who wished His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha and other members of the royal family ‘Selamat Hari Raya’ this year.

Yesterday, Their Majesties with members of the royal family received a total of 23,925 Hari Raya well-wishers at the palace – 12,855 during the morning session from 10am to 12 noon and 11,070 in the afternoon session from 2pm to 4pm.

On the first day of the open house for the public at the Istana Nurul Iman on Wednesday, the palace welcomed a total of 36,710 people – 21,984 in the morning and 14,726 in the afternoon. On the second day, a total of 35,920 visited the palace – 19,280 in the morning and 16,640 in the afternoon.

Accompanying His Majesty at the Baitur Rahmah Hall yesterday were HRH Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, HRH Prince ‘Abdul Malik, HRH Prince ‘Abdul Mateen, HRH Prince ‘Abdul Wakeel and other members of the royal family.

Meanwhile, at an adjacent room, accompanying Her Majesty were HRH Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah, HRH Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah, YAM Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Norhayati, HRH Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah, HRH Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah, HRH Princess ‘Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah, HRH Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah and HRH Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah. Also present were HRH Princess Hajah Masna, HRH Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam and other members of the royal family.
