THE Attorney General’s Chambers yesterday conducted a special religious ceremony to commemorate the birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) at the Law and Courts Building in Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah.

It was enlivened with a special religious talk delivered by Ustaz Haji Jufri bin Haji Hidup, Mosque Affairs Officer at the Mosque Affairs Department under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, in line with the national theme of “Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the universal carrier of mercy”.

The ceremony also saw a handover of farewell gifts and certificates of appreciation to retired officer Hajah Mariah binti Haji Kamis, who served the office since 1976.

Also in attendance were Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Hayati binti Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Salleh, the Attorney General and YAM Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammed Al-Mokhtar bin Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz. - Borneo Bulletin (27 January 2014)
