HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a message of congratulations to His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and members of the royal family as well as the people of Jordan on the occasion of Jordan’s Independence Day.

The message stated that His Majesty much appreciated the close and long-standing ties of friendship and cooperation that exist between the two countries and looked forward to continuing the work to strengthen this important bilateral and international partnership in the year ahead.

In ending the message, His Majesty prayed that Allah the Almighty bless His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein and the royal family with continued good health and prosperity, with the people of Brunei Darussalam joining His Majesty in wishing His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein, the royal family and the Jordanian people a joyous celebration. - Borneo Bulletin (25 May 2014)
