THE annual fireworks display in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 68th birthday celebration took place yesterday evening at the Taman Jubli Perak in the capital. The fireworks display took place around 8.30pm and lasted for about 20 minutes. Members of the public brought their families and crowded the Taman Jubli Perak to watch the display. Some families waited around Kiulap area and the Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien College parking area as well as around Pusar Ulak area to avoid the traffic. - Borneo Bulletin (25 August 2014)
