HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to Joko Widodo, following his victory in the recent 2014 General Elections for the President of the Republic of Indonesia.

His Majesty as well as the government and people of Brunei Darussalam extended their warmest congratulations to the new Indonesian President on his victory in the 2014 General Elections.

In the message, His Majesty expressed his pleasure over the close and excellent relations enjoyed by Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Indonesia.

His Majesty is also confident that with the new Indonesian President’s victory, the ties of friendship between the two countries would continue to be enhanced for the mutual benefit and prosperity of people of both countries.

In ending the message, His Majesty extended his best wishes to the new Indonesian President and his family, as well as the people of Indonesia, during the holy month of Ramadhan.

His Majesty also prays to Allah the Almighty that the new Indonesian President and his family would always enjoy good health and longevity under the protection of Allah the Almighty. - Borneo Bulletin (24 July 2014)
