YAYASAN Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah held a Tahlil at the Royal Mausoleum yesterday. It was held for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit, and took place as part of Yayasan’s annual activities in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.

The event was graced by His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik, who is the Chairman of the Committee of Governors of Yayasan.

During the proceedings, the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil were led by Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Yahya bin Haji Ibrahim, member of the Yayasan Committee of Governors.

Also present from the committee were Vice Chairman 2 Pehin Jawatan Luar Pekerma Raja Dato Seri Utama Dr Ustaz Haji Awang Mohd Zain bin Haji Serudin and Committee member Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned.

The Yayasan Board of Directors was also represented yesterday by its Chairman Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, as well as Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Vice Chairman 1 and Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Vice Chairman 2.

Other members of the Yayasan Board, Yayasan officers and staff, Yayasan School teachers as well as residents of Kampong Bolkiah ‘A’ and ‘B’ housing scheme and trustee members of Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for orphans were also present. - Borneo Bulletin (23 July 2014)
