HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Minister of Defence and Supreme Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, yesterday afternoon consented to attend military events in Singapore. In a separate event, Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha consented to visit Muzium Peranakan hosted by the wife of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore, Lee Hsien Leong.
Upon arrival at the Multi-Mission Range Complex (MMRC) at Pasir Laba Camp, His Majesty was greeted by Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Singapore; Lt General Dato Paduka Seri Ng Chee Meng, Chief of Defence; and Brigadier General Perry Lim, Chief of Army.
Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik.
His Majesty then consented to sign a visitor book and given a briefing on MMRC at a conference hall.
Following that, His Majesty was invited to the Video Targetary System Firing Range for a shooting session. His Majesty then proceeded to Urban Ops Range to view a live demonstration where he was invited to use a Rifle-SAR21.
