HRH Prince ‘Abdul Malik yesterday attended a thanksgiving prayer ceremony organised by Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) as the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans (DANA) Secretariat, in commemoration of the 40th birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office.

The event was held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in Bandar Seri Begawan.

HRH Prince ‘Abdul Malik, Chairman of the Committee of Governors of YSHHB, was joined by a congregation comprising other Committee of Governors and members of the Board of Directors of YSHHB – Vice Chairman 2 of the Committee of Governors, Pehin Jawatan Luar Pekerma Raja Dato Seri Utama Dr Ustaz Hj Awg Mohd Zain bin Hj Serudin; Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awg Hj Suyoi bin Hj Osman, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Board of Directors Vice Chairman I, Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awg Hj Abdul Rahman bin Hj Ibrahim; Vice Chairman II of the Board of Directors, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Hj Awg Abu Bakar bin Hj Apong, who is also the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of DANA, as well as other members of the Committee of Governors, Board of Directors, DANA Board of Trustees, and other distinguished guests.

The ceremony started with a mass Maghrib prayer, followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, a mass Tahlil, thanksgiving prayer and ended with a mass Isyak prayer. . - Borneo Bulletin (19 February 2014)
