HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon consented to receive in audience Dr Ahmad Mohamed Ali, President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group.

Dr Ahmad Mohamed Ali is currently in Brunei Darussalam for the launch of the IDB Group Day and Regional Lecture Series on Islamic Economics, Finance and Banking, which was held at the Empire Hotel and Country Club.

This year the IDB Group celebrated its 40th anniversary of its establishment.

Accompanying Dr Ahmad Mohamed Ali were Professor Azmi Omar, Director General of Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), and Kunrat Wirasubrata, Acting Director, IDB Regional Office in Kuala Lumpur.

Present at the audience ceremony was Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Haji Abd Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister of Finance II at the Prime Minister’s Office.
