HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon consented to receive in audience the Chief Justices from Malaysia and the Republic of Singapore, who are in the country to attend the Third Joint Judicial Conference between Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Singapore.

The Chief Justices, who attended the audience which took place at the Istana Nurul Iman were Sundaresh Menon, the Chief Justice of the Republic of Singapore and Tan Sri Md Raus bin Sharif, the President of the Court of Appeal of Malaysia.

Also present were Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Kifrawi bin Dato Paduka Haji Kifli, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Brunei Darussalam, John Barry Mortimer, the President of the Court of Appeal of Brunei Darussalam, Dato Paduka Steven Chong Wan Oon, High Court Judge of the Brunei Supreme Court, Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hairol Arni bin Haji Abdul Majid, High Court Judge of the Brunei Supreme Court, Pengiran Hajah Rostaina binti Pengiran Haji Duraman, Judicial Commissioner and Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court and Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mohammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Permanent Secretary (Law and Welfare) at the Prime Minister’s Office. - Borneo Bulletin (16 November 2014)
