HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam last evening consented to attend a four-eye meeting with Lee Hsien Loong, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore.

His Majesty and Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha then attended a dinner banquet hosted by the Singaporean Prime Minister and his spouse, Ho Ching.

Earlier, Their Majesties attended afternoon tea hosted by Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam, President of the Republic of Singapore, and his spouse, Mary Chee Bee Kiang.

His Majesty also attended the Singapore Airshow 2014 at the Changi Exhibition Centre.

Upon arrival at the Istana last evening, Their Majesties were welcomed by the Singaporean Prime Minister and his spouse. Their Majesties later had a photo session with the Singaporean Prime Minister and his spouse.

While His Majesty held a four-eye meeting with the Singaporean Prime Minister, Her Majesty held a separate meeting with Ho Ching in the State Room.

Their Majesties later proceeded to the pool side together with the Singaporean Prime Minister and his spouse to attend a dinner banquet.

Earlier, upon arrival at the Istana for afternoon tea, Their Majesties were welcomed by the Singaporean President and his spouse.

After His Majesty signed the visitor’s book, Their Majesties had a photo taken with the Singaporean President and his spouse. Their Majesties later proceeded to the Yusof Room for the afternoon tea.

His Majesty also attended the Singapore Airshow 2014 at the Changi Exhibition Centre. Upon arrival at the Changi Exhibition Centre, His Majesty was greeted by Dr Ng Eng Hen, Singapore’s Minister for Defence.

His Majesty took a closer look at the exhibits at the exhibition hall as well as the outdoor exhibition showcasing static display of various aircraft.

His Majesty also viewed aerial displays by “Black Knights” aerobatic team from the Republic of Singapore Air Force, YAK130, “Jupiter” aerobatic team from the Indonesian Air Force, MV22, and Airbus A350.

His Majesty later attended a luncheon hosted by Singapore’s Minister for Defence.

Accompanying His Majesty to the airshow, afternoon tea and the dinner were Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II, and Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Dato Seri Setia (Dr )Awang Haji Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar, Minister of Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office. - Borneo Bulletin (13 February 2014)
