HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a message of congratulations to Hassan Rouhani, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the occasion of Iran’s National Day.

The message stated that His Majesty greatly valued the warm friendship and cooperation shared by the two countries and looked forward to strengthening these valuable ties through their bilateral and international work together.

In ending the message, His Majesty prayed that Allah the Almighty bless President Hassan Rouhani with continued good health and happiness, and the brotherly people of Iran with prosperity and progress.

His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, also sent a congratulatory message to Mohammad Javad Zarif, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

His Royal Highness said, “I have great pleasure in sending my warmest congratulations to you and to the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on your National Day.

“I very much appreciate the friendly relations shared between our countries and people and I look forward to continuing to strengthen our warm bilateral ties and international partnerships we share, particularly through the Asia Cooperation Dialogue, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement.
