“Association”, the fourth and latest book authored by His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, was officially launched yesterday.

The book, which centres on the author’s experiences as the longest serving minister at the Asean Ministerial Meeting (AMM), takes the readers through His Royal Highness’ personal reminiscences and observations, supported by events and statements by Foreign Ministers and Leaders of Asean member states.

The book, deemed by many as timely as Brunei Darussalam plays host to the Asean Summit and related Asean Ministerial Meetings this year, was launched by Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah in a ceremony held at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan.

Upon arrival, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and HRH Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah were welcomed by Albert Lau, Chief Executive Officer of QAF Brunei, and Hazizah Osman, Deputy General Manager of Brunei Press Sdn Bhd.

The auspicious event was also attended by Cabinet Ministers, foreign dignitaries, as well as prominent figures from the local community. Also present was YAM Pengiran Muda Abdul Fattaah.

The ceremony began with a dance performance encompassing six games from Asean member countries mentioned in the book. It was followed by the official launching ceremony graced by Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah.

After the launching, Her Royal Highness was presented with a souvenir by Albert Lau.

“Association” is published by Brunei Press Sdn Bhd follows the launch of HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah’s second book “Remember, Remember… The 8th of December” in 2007.
