HIS Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Deputy Sultan, and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah last night attended the “Majlis Istiadat Bersanding” of YAM Tengku Amalin A’Ishah Putri binti Sultan Ismail Petra and YAM Pengiran Muda Abdul Qawi at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan.
Also present at the royal wedding ceremony were His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah, the parents of YAM Pengiran Muda Abdul Qawi; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah and YAM Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Norhayati; HRH Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah; HRH Princess Hajah Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah; HRH Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah; HRH Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna; HRH Princess Hajah Nor’ain; HRH Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam; HRH Princess Hajah Amal Nasibah; HRH Princess Hajah Amal Jefriah; YTM Pengiran Babu Raja Pengiran Anak Hajah Besar as well as other members of the Brunei royal family.
Also in attendance were Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan Ismail Petra ibni Al-marhum Sultan Yahya Petra and Duli Yang Maha Mulia Raja Perempuan Tengku Anis binti Al-marhum Tengku Abdul
Hamid, the parents of YAM Tengku Amalin A’Ishah Putri; DYMM Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin ibni Al-marhum Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail, Raja Perlis and DYMM Tuanku Fauziah binti Al-marhum Tengku Abdul Rashid, Raja Perempuan Perlis and Yang Teramat Mulia Dr Tengku Muhammad Fa-iz Petra ibni Sultan Ismail Petra, Tengku Mahkota Kelantan as well as other members from the Malaysian royal entourage.
The entrance of YAM Tengku Amalin A’Ishah Putri and YAM Pengiran Muda Abdul Qawi, whom were accompanied by YAM Pengiran Muda Abdul Muqtadir, into the ceremonial hall for the much-anticipated wedding ceremony, symbolised a historic chapter and closer links between the royal families of Brunei and the Malaysian state of Kelantan.
YAM Tengku Amalin A’Ishah Putri and YAM Pengiran Muda Abdul Qawi took their seats alongside each other, both dressed in traditional attire during the grand wedding celebration.
The royal couple paid respects to their family members in the spirit of unity and affection which binds members of the two royal families.
A Doa Selamat was read to mark the completion of the ‘Majlis Istiadat Bersanding’. The happy royal couple then left the wedding dais and embraced their parents and their family members.
HRH Prince Haji Al- Muhtadee Billah, the Deputy Sultan, and HRH Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah as well as members of the Brunei royal family and the royal couple along with members from the Malaysian royal families also consented to attend the ‘Majlis Santap’ at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan.
The royal wedding ceremony will conclude with a Majlis Kesyukuran and Membaca Doa Selamat this evening at Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan.
