His Majesty sends congratulatory message to King of Thailand

HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to send a congratulatory message to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the King of Thailand, on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 86th birthday.

In the message, His Majesty said he very much appreciated the warm friendship and cooperation that has long existed between the two countries and peoples, and looked forward to continue working with His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej to further strengthen these much-valued and important ties in the years ahead.

In ending the message, His Majesty wished His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and all members of the royal family continued good health and happiness and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand continued progress and prosperity.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a separate congratulatory message to Surapong Tovichakchaikul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

In his message, HRH said, “I am pleased to present my deepest respect to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and all members of the royal family, together with my warmest congratulations to you and to the government and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand on the 86th anniversary of His Majesty’s birthday.

“I have very much appreciated your valuable support during our Asean Chairmanship throughout this year and congratulate you on your role as coordinator of our Asean-China dialogue and on the success of our special Asean-China Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Beijing in August.

“I look forward to continuing our work together in enhancing the important partnership between our countries and close cooperation in the region.”
