His Majesty grants audience to Asean Ministerial Meeting heads of delegation

HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, consented to receive in audience Asean ministers and heads of delegation attending the Asean Ministerial Meeting on Drug Matters.

Present at the audience yesterday was His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office.

Also present at the audience ceremony was the Chairman of the Asean Ministerial Meeting on Drug Matters, Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Awg Hj Mohammad Yasmin bin Hj Umar, Minister of Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office, and Dato Paduka Hj Hamdan bin Hj Abu Bakar, Permanent Secretary (Security & Enforcement) at the Prime Minister’s Office.

The Asean Ministerial Meeting on Drug Matters is being held from September 1 to 4 to discuss on a way forward in achieving its mission of a Drug-Free Asean 2015, and also to formulate action against drug matters across the region.

The list of entourage for the audience included Pol Gen Teng Savong, Secretary of State, Ministry of Interior, Kingdom of Cambodia; Police Commissioner General Anang Iskandar, Head of National Narcotics Board, Republic of Indonesia; Mr Kou Chansina, Acting Chairman of LCDC, Lao National Commission for Drug Control and Supervision, LAO PDR; Datuk Dr Hj Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Home Affairs, Malaysia; Brig Gen Kyaw Zan Myint, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Home Affairs, Myanmar; Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs, Singapore; Mr Chaikasem Nitisiri, Minister, Ministry of Justice, Thailand; Pol Sr Lt Gen, Le Quy Vuong, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Public Security, Vietnam; Mr Nyan Lynn, Deputy Secretary-General, Asean Secretariat; Ms Celeste Vinzonion Balatbat, Charge d’Affaires, Embassy of Philippines in Brunei Darussalam (representative from the Philippines).
