Royal congratulatory messages to Korea

HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to Park Geun-Hye, President of the Republic of Korea, as well as the government and people of the Republic of Korea, on the occasion of the National Foundation Day of the Republic of Korea.

In the message to the Korean President, His Majesty said he greatly valued the warm friendship shared by the people of the two countries and the longstanding and valuable cooperation shared between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Korea. His Majesty said he looked forward to continuing work to strengthen bilateral and regional ties between the two countries in the years ahead.

His Majesty also expressed his appreciation over the continuous support of the Korean President for Brunei Darussalam’s Asean Chairmanship this year and looked forward to welcoming her to the Sultanate next week for the Asean meetings.

In ending the message, His Majesty extended his kindest regards and very best wishes to the Korean President.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, also sent a similar congratulatory message to Yun Byung-Se, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea.

“I am pleased to send my warmest congratulations to you and to the government and people of the Republic of Korea on your national Foundation Day,” said His Royal Highness.

“I greatly value the close friendship enjoyed by our people and the longstanding cooperation between our countries in many areas.
