His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha yesterday morning consented to receive in audience the Prime Minister of Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Thongsing Thammavong and his spouse, Madame Bouathong Thammavong during his two-day official visit to the Sultanate, according to a press release. The event took place at the Cheradi Laila Kenchana, Istana Nurul Iman.
Also present at the event were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office; Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah; His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam; as well as other members of the Royal Family.
Accompanying the Prime Minister of Lao People’s Democratic Republic were Dr Siniavong Khoutphhayuthoune, Minister Chief of Government’s Office; Somdy Douandy, Minister of Planning and Investment; Prof Dr Boviengkham Vongdara, Minister of Science and Technology; Bounkeut Songsamsak, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs; Dr Vilayong Bouddakham, Secretary General, Lao Youths Association; Dr Sinava Souphanouvong, Vice Minister of Energy and Mines; Sengdeune Lachantaboun, Vice Minister of Education and Sports; Souvanna Phouynavong, Ambassador of Lao PDR to Brunei Darussalam; and the Prime Minister’s daughters namely Souvineth Thammavong and Souksavanh Thammavong.
Later, His Majesty and the Prime Minister of Lao People’s Democratic Republic consented to proceed to Cheradi Ratna Kenchana for a four-eye meeting.
