HRH Prince General at RBAF thanksgiving

His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince, Senior Minister at the Prime Minister‘s Office and General of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), yesterday attended a thanksgiving ceremony at the Berakas Garrison surau, in conjunction with the RBAF 52nd anniversary celebrations.

Welcoming His Royal Highness upon arrival were Deputy Minister of Defence Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat, and Commander of the RBAF Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin.

Also present at the thanksgiving ceremony were permanent secretary, deputy commander of RBAF, deputy permanent secretaries, service commanders and commandant of the RBAF Training Institute, directors, senior officers from the Ministry of Defence and RBAF, as well as former RBAF commanders.

The ceremony opened with mass Maghrib prayer, the reading of Wirid and Doa, Surah Yaasiin as well as Tahlil, and a Doa Kesyukuran and ended with a mass Isyak prayer followed by a Junjung Ziarah.

HRH then proceeded to the Officers’ Mess for a santap and photo session, before signing the Royal Parchment.

RBAF will celebrate its 52nd anniversary on June 1 at the Bolkiah Garrison. This year’s anniversary is themed ‘Defending My Country Brunei Darussalam.’ - Borneo Bulletin (31 May 2013)
