Sultan leaves New Zealand

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam left Wellington, New Zealand after concluding a four-day State Visit.

Before departure, a Doa Selamat was read by Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

Present at the Wellington International Airport to bid farewell to His Majesty were Wing Commander Stuart Brownie, Honourary ADC who is also the Representative of the Governor General of New Zealand; Chris Tremain, Minister of Internal Affairs; Caroline Bilkey, Chief of Protocol and David Pine, the non-resident High Commissioner of New Zealand to Brunei Darussalam.

Also present at the airbase were Datin Paduka Tan Bee Yong, the non-resident High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to New Zealand as well as officers from the non-resident High Commission of Brunei Darussalam in Wellington. - Borneo Bulletin (29 March 2013)
