Crown Prince in New York

HRH Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, as a representative of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and HRH Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah arrived in New York to attend the 68th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Accompanying Their Royal Highnesses are HRH Princess Hajah Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah, HRH Prince ‘Abdul Muntaqim and HRH Princess Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah.

On arrival at John F Kennedy International Airport, New York, HRH the Crown Prince and other members of the royal family were greeted by Brunei Darussalam’s Ambassador to USA, Dato Paduka Awang Haji Yussof bin Haji Abdul Hamid and Datin, the Permanent Representative of Brunei Darussalam to the United Nations, Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Ghafar bin Haji Ismail and Datin, as well as officers from the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in the USA and the Permanent Mission of Brunei Darussalam in New York.

The General Debate of the 68th session of the United Nations General Assembly began yesterday and will end on October 1. The theme for the General Debate this year is ‘Post-2015 Development Agenda: Setting The Stage’. - Borneo Bulletin (25 September 2013)
