HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a message of congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, as well as the Government and people of the State of Kuwait on the occasion of Kuwait’s National Day.

In his message to His Highness, His Majesty said he was very pleased to have been in Kuwait for the First Asia Cooperation Dialogue Summit last year and looked forward to working with His Highness in the year ahead to strengthen the long-standing friendship between the two countries.

In ending the message, His Majesty prayed that Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala bless the Amir of the State of Kuwait with continued good health and the people of the State of Kuwait with peace and prosperity.

In a similar message by His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade to Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and State Minister for Cabinet Affairs, State of Kuwait, HRH sent his respects to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Hamad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait on Kuwait’s national day.

HRH very much appreciated the friendship and goodwill shared by the countries and people and looked forward to working closely with the Kuwait Deputy Minister in the year ahead to continue the much valued cooperation. - Borneo Bulletin (25 February 2013)
