HER Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha yesterday consented to receive in separate audiences the spouses of the heads of the General Assembly of the Asean Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), as well as the spouse of the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, at Istana Nurul Iman.

Her Majesty first consented to receive Puan Sri Diana Diego, the wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malaysia; Madame Maria Goretti Guterres Marques, the wife of the President of the Parliament of Timor-Leste; and, Madame Betty Plett, the wife of the President of the Conservative Party of Canada.

Also present at the ceremony were YDM Seri Laila Pengiring Diraja Datin Seri Utama Dayang Hajah Rosnah binti Abdullah and Datin Paduka Dayang Hajah Maimunah binti Dato Paduka Haji Elias.

Her Majesty later consented to receive the spouse of the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Madame Liu Guixiang.
