HIS Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, last night hosted a Gala Dinner for ministerial colleagues and their spouses as well as delegates attending the 45th Asean Economic Ministers’ Meeting (AEM) and related meetings, the Asean Business and Investment Summit and the Asean-China Youth Forum, at the International Convention Centre in Berakas.

The Gala Dinner, which featured cultural performances, was attended by representatives from 19 countries, including the 10 Asean member states, as well as delegates from the People’s Republic of China, Japan, Republic of Korea, India, Australia, New Zealand, United States of America, Canada and the Russian Federation.

During the Gala Dinner, His Royal Highness presented the annual Asean Business Awards to 21 recipients from large companies and small and medium enterprises from the Asean region, in recognition of their contributions to growth, employment, innovation and corporate social responsibility.

Also present were Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and YAM Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz. - Borneo Bulletin (21 August 2013)
