HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a message of congratulations to The Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor-General of Canada, as well as to the Government and people of Canada on the occasion of Canada Day.

In the message, His Majesty much appreciated the long-standing cooperation shared by the two countries and the warm friendship enjoyed by the people of Brunei Darussalam and Canada and also looked forward to continuing work to enhance the much-valued ties between the two countries in the years ahead.

In concluding the message, His Majesty conveyed his kindest regards and best wishes for The Right Honourable David Johnston’s continued good health and happiness as well as for the progress and prosperity of the people of Canada. - Borneo Bulletin (1 July 2013)
