THE Ministry of Finance and departments under it held a Tahlil event for His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s late parents, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, yesterday at the Royal Mausoleum.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Finance II at the Prime Minister’s Office, Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awg Hj Abdul Rahman bin Hj Ibrahim.

Also at the event were Deputy Minister of Finance, Dato Paduka Awg Hj Bahrin bin Abdullah, permanent secretaries, heads of department and division, officers and staff of the ministry and departments under it.

It began with a recitation of Surah Yaasiin followed by the Tahlil led by an officer from the Mosque Affairs Department, Ustaz Awg Faizal @ Janif bin Hj Rosli.
