THE Majlis Doa Selamat Dan Doa Kesyukuran Istiadat Bersiram was held yesterday on the occasion of the birth of Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muhammad Za’eem, the first born son of Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Muhammad Ruzaini.

The ceremony was held at the Surau of Istana Nurul Iman. The female guests were led to the Balai Singgahsana Indera Kenchana of the Istana.

The ceremony was carried out in front of Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz, the Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara.

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Pehin Khatib Haji Awang Emran bin Haji Kunchang and was followed by Dikir Assalamualaika, Rawi and Dikir Asyrakal Badru presented by mosque officers.

As the dikir wound down to the Ya Habibi, 17 cannon shots were fired to mark the ‘Majlis Doa Selamat Dan Doa Kesyukuran Istiadat Bersiram’.

The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat read by the State Mufti, Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned.

YAM Pengiran Anak Muhammad Za’eem was born on Saturday, 25th of Ramadhan, 1434 Hijrah corresponding to August 3, 2013 at 2.45am.

Amongst those present at the ceremony were Pengiran-Pengiran Cheteria, Cabinet Ministers, Legislative Council members, deputy ministers, Pengiran-Pengiran Peranakan, Pehin-Pehin Menteri and Manteri-Manteri Pendalaman and other senior government officials. - Borneo Bulletin (17 October 2013)
