HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam last Friday night consented to attend the banquet for Commonwealth Heads of Government, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office.

The event took place at the Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel and was hosted by His Royal Highness Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales as the Representative of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Head of the Commonwealth; and Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall to welcome the Commonwealth Heads of Government and Heads of Delegation.

Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by His Royal Highness Prince Charles and Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall.

The banquet was one of the traditional events hosted by the Head of Commonwealth in conjunction with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM). - Borneo Bulletin (17 November 2013)
