HER Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, the Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, yesterday attended the opening of the APEC Women Leadership Forum organised by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) in Beijing, People’s Republic of China.

The opening address was given by Mr Wang Jinzhen, Vice Chairman of CCPIT, followed by a welcome address delivered by Mdm Meng Xiaosi, Vice Chairwoman, All-China Women’s Federation of the People’s Republic of China. Both addresses highlighted the importance of public-private partnership within APEC to enhance the full participation of women in the economy, including through education, training, financing and market support.

Later in the evening, HRH accompanied by YAM Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar attended a dinner jointly hosted by CCPIT and KG Inc.

On arrival at the Beijing Capital International Airport on Thursday, HRH was greeted by a representative of CCPIT. Also present was Datin Paduka Magdalene Teo Chee Siong, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the People’s Republic of China.

Later that evening, HRH attended a welcoming gala dinner hosted by CCPIT and the corporate partners of the forum. - Borneo Bulletin (16 November 2013)
