PRAYERS to mark His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 67th birthday were performed yesterday at Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Pekan Tutong.

The prayers commenced with Zohor prayer by Imam of Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque, Moksin bin Haji Mokhtar followed by the Sunnat Hajat prayer and the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, Tahlil and thanksgiving prayer.

Present at the event was Awang Wardi bin Haji Mohd Ali, Tutong District Officer. Also in attendance were YB Orang Kaya Maha Bijaya Awang Haji Othman bin Uking, a member of the Legislative Council and YB Haji Ramli bin Haji Lahit, a member of the Legislative Council who is also the Penghulu of Mukim Telisai.
