Royal congratulatory messages to UK on occasion of Queen’s birthday

HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send congratulatory messages to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and David Cameron, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, as well as members of the royal family, the government and people of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on the occasion of the anniversary of the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

In the message to Her Majesty, His Majesty congratulated Her Majesty on the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty’s Coronation and also expressed appreciation over the long-standing ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and people that have continued to grow over the years.

His Majesty looks forward to many more opportunities for the governments and people of Brunei Darussalam and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to work even closer together in the years ahead.

In ending the message, His Majesty extended his very best wishes for Her Majesty’s continued good health and happiness, as well as for the prosperity of the people of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

In the message to the British Prime Minister, His Majesty said he greatly valued the close relationship that has developed between the two countries and governments, as well as the warm and long established friendships enjoyed by the people of Brunei Darussalam and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

In ending the message, His Majesty said he looks forward to continuing to work with the British Prime Minister to further strengthen these important ties in the years ahead and extended his kindest regards and very best wishes.

Meanwhile, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a similar congratulatory message to William Hague, the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commercial Affairs of the United Kingdom and Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
