THE Brunei Ladies Golf Association (BLGA) yesterday held a ceremony in conjunction with the birthday celebration of Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah at the Tarindak D’Polo Restaurant of the Jerudong Polo Club, Jerudong.

Her Royal Highness was greeted on arrival by Datin Seri Utama Dyg Hjh Rosnah binti Abdullah, the Chairman of the Brunei Ladies Golf Association.

Her Royal Highness cut a birthday cake which was followed by the presentation of a pesambah from the BLGA. The ceremony was also enlivened by singing and dancing performances.

In a welcoming speech by Datin Seri Utama Dyg Hjh Rosnah, she stated that a total of about 20 lady golfers will be leaving for Kuala Lumpur to take part in the Asean Ladies International Interport Golf Tournament.

The Chairman of BLGA also stated that the BLGA will be hosting the 16th Borneo Ladies Golf Tournament in March next year.

BLGA remains true to its aim of promoting the game of golf among ladies in Brunei Darussalam and encouraging BLGA members to participate in competitions both inside and outside Brunei Darussalam. - Borneo Bulletin (15 April 2013)
