HIS Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, yesterday morning received in separate audiences Brunei Darussalam’s newly-appointed High Commissioner to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and two new High Commissioners to the Sultanate.
HRH first received in audience Pengiran Haji Abd Haris bin Pengiran Haji Shahbudin, the High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Pengiran Haji Abd Harris presented his letters of credential on October 2, 2013. He previously served as a senior officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Brunei Darussalam.
Following the ceremony, HRH received in audience David Ian Campbell, British High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam. Mr Campbell previously served as Deputy High Commissioner in Australia and Singapore.
HRH later received in audience Awang Sahak bin Awang Salleh, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam. Awang Sahak previously served as an officer with special functions to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia.
The British High Commissioner and Malaysian High Commissioner presented their respective letters of credence to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on October 2, 2013.
The ceremony took place at Qashr Al-Meezaan yesterday.
