Tengku Mahkota of Kelantan visits Royal Regalia

HIS Royal Highness Tengku Muhammad Fa-iz Petra Ibni Sultan Ismail Petra, the Crown Prince of Kelantan, attended a luncheon hosted by the Minister of Religious Affairs, Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohammad bin Pg Hj Abdul Rahman at The Empire Hotel & Country Club in Jerudong yesterday.

The minister presented a special memento in a customary exchange to HRH Tengku Muhammad Fa-iz Petra, who is also the President of the Islamic Religion and Malay Customs Council of Kelantan (MAIK).

Earlier, HRH Tengku Muhammad Fa-iz Petra and his delegation visited the Royal Regalia.

Tengku Mahkota Kelantan was greeted on arrival by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Laila Diraja Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hazair bin Haji Abdullah; Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, as well as permanent secretaries and deputy permanent secretaries from both ministries.

His Royal Highness Tengku Muhammad Fa-iz Petra Ibni Sultan Ismail Petra then signed the parchment.

The Royal Exhibition Gallery was one of the displays which caught the attention of His Royal Highness Kelantan’s Tengku Mahkota. It holds the history of the life of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam from His Majesty’s childhood until the royal coronation.

The Kelantan royal entourage then visited other galleries at the Royal Regalia, including the Royal Regalia Exhibition Gallery, the Silver Jubilee Exhibition Gallery, History Exhibition Gallery and the Constitutional Development of Brunei Darussalam Gallery.

The Royal Regalia was officially opened with the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on September 30, 1992. The building displays royal regalia and royal decorations inherited through generations as Government insignia and history of the Constitution of Brunei Darussalam. - Borneo Bulletin (11 February 2013)
