HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and HRH Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah along with their family hosted an open house at Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan on the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Joining the royal hosts during the event were HRH Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah and YAM Pengiran Bini Hajah Faizah, HRH Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah and YAM Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Norhayati.

Also present were HRH Princess Hajah Masna, the Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, HRH Princess Hajah Nor’ain, HRH Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam, HRH Princess Hajah Amal Nasibah, HRH Princess Hajah Amal Jefriah, HRH Princess Hajah Noorehsani, as well as other members of the royal family.

Guests to the Hari Raya open house, comprising foreign ambassadors, diplomats and members of the diplomatic corps in Brunei Darussalam, as well as high ranking government officials and staff from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, were warmly welcomed at the main hall of Balai Penghadapan by Their Royal Highnesses and family.

Guests were entertained by live music resounding throughout the main hall featuring an array of Hari Raya and traditional songs, enlivening the atmosphere of the event.

Hundreds of smiling guests were seen indulging in delectable traditional local dishes, as well as a number of different desserts and treats, a testament to the gracious hospitality shown by the royal hosts. - Borneo Bulletin (11 August 2013)
