HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to hold a bilateral meeting with John Key, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, who is currently in the Sultanate for the 23rd Asean Summit and other related summits, which began yesterday.

During the meeting, His Majesty and the New Zealand Prime Minister exchanged views on bilateral, regional and international issues.

Also present during the bilateral meeting were Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister of Finance II at the Prime Minister’s Office; Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Awang Lim Jock Seng, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II and Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Awang Haji Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar, Minister of Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office.

At the start of the meeting, His Majesty also consented to receive a pesambah from the Prime Minister of New Zealand. - Borneo Bulletin (10 October 2013)
