The Council of Women of Brunei Darussalam (CWBD) yesterday celebrated the birthday of Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas.

As part of the celebration, guests were entertained with nasyid, tausyeh and various other performances by a number of associations as well as a performance by the pupils of Taman Asuhan Kanak-Kanak Sekolah Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (TASKA YSHHB).

Among the 36 pupils was the granddaughter of His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Pengiran Qaiyimah Nurul Bolkiah binti Pengiran Haji Mohammad Hakimmuddin.

The students performed two songs - 'Happy Birthday' in four different languages during the cake-cutting ceremony, and 'Selawat' right after.

The ceremony was attended by 700 members of CWBD comprising PERTIWI, WI, BISTARI, BAKTI, BDGGA, PKP Belait, PGGMB, PERGANITA, Siswazah Wanita (PSW), BAKANITA, PERBEKAl, PEWAJA, and Nurul Islam (PNI). - Borneo Bulletin (31 October 2012)
