His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday presented the Letter of Credence to the newly appointed Brunei Darussalam's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland and received Letters of Credence from two foreign envoys to the country.
His Majesty presented the Letter of Credence to Abu Suffian bin Haji Ali, Brunei Darussalam's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.
His Majesty later received Letters of Credence from two newly appointed foreign envoys to Brunei Darussalam - Yin Yin Myint, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Kenichi Suganuma, Ambassador of Japan.
His Majesty later granted separate audiences to the envoys.
Abu Suffian bin Hj Ali, 46, previously served as Director of International and Trade, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Daw Yin Yin Myint, 56, previously served as Director General, Training, Research and Foreign Languages, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
Mr Kenichi Suganuma, 58, previously served as Japan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva and Switzerland.
